If the child is under 16, they can only attend with a parent, guardian or a designated adult. If this adult is not their parent or guardian, we require a completed and notarized Minor Consent Form to be brought to us. Please note, this form is required to be signed by the parent/guardian AND the supervising adult in the presence of the notary. Also, the supervising adult must be at least 18 years old. If the child does not have this form when the child arrives or if it is not completed and notarized, they cannot register. If the child brings the wrong form to us, they also cannot register. We will not accept parental permission granted over the phone or in an email. We will also not accept parents of a friend acting as the supervising adult without this form.

Parents, guardians, and supervising adults are requested to stay on property while their charges are at the convention. Younger attendees that need supervision should be with their parent, guardian or supervising adult at all times. As a courtesy, parents, guardians and supervising adults are offered badges for free so they may stay with their child in convention space.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter and we apologize for the extra work, but unfortunate incidents at other conventions have forced us to take this measure. These policies are in place to protect the convention, its staff and volunteers, the child and the parents.
